Wondering what’s on the other side of the Poke Balls in the upcoming Smash games? Today Sakurai talks about a couple of the game’s support Pokemon that you might find in game:

Masahiro Sakurai has released two new screenshots from Smash Bros. Wii U in which he unveils the Daybreak combinable item. Take a look below:

Sakurai continued on with a second screenshot and description…

This is what it looks like when all three parts are combined together. How powerful will its beam blast be? FYI, you can fire shooting items while moving backward and forward. Change direction by flicking the Control Stick or Circle Pad toward the back of the fighter.

In today’s screenshot we’re given a look at another, probably lesser known character in the Nintendo universe to make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. The Japanese only Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru will be getting a cameo in the upcoming 3DS version of Smash:

The Sablé Prince will also appear in regular trophy form too:

Here’s the trophy of the Sablé Prince. He transforms into a snake or a frog, and unloads multiple attacks on any opponent he catches. Keep attacking your foes when they’re trapped in his dust cloud.

Yacht Club Games is pleased with Shovel Knight’s sales performance thus far. The game has only been out for about a month, but the studio’s Sean Velasco told Game Informer:

Velasco: I’d say it’s doing very well. We are very pleased with where it’s at, even this early in the sales time.

Yacht Club’s Nick Wozniak also commented on Shovel Knight’s sales, stating: “Across all platforms it’s exceeding expectations.”
