JoWooD Productions announces the final release date

Liezen, Austria, March 5th 2009; JoWooD Productions is happy to report, that the revitalization for Lifesigns – Hospital Affairs succeeded! After a few months away sick, the game is now ready and will hit the European stores on March 27th 2009.

„Lifesigns Hospital Affairs is one of the most anticipated releases for our console lineup in 2009 not just for JoWooD Productions, but for the international press and gamers as well. Because of the shifted release, we were able to put much more effort into a perfect localization and quality assurance to guarantee a good gaming experience for players.” explains Richard Haderer, Product Manager JoWooD Productions.

“We’ll let the market decide. We expect some people will upgrade, but we also anticipate that we’ll win over people who were still undecided on DS – the extra features will help convince them. There’s an extra incentive. With the DSi we see multiple consumer types for it. As with everything now, we look at our target market being five to 85, offering different things for different people. The functions of the device really open the platform up to more consumers – it gives the DS format unlimited potential.” – Nintendo’s UK general manager David Yarnton

Personally, if I had a choice between the DSi and the DS Lite, I would choose the Lite even though the DSi lacks a GBA slot. Consumers in Japan have still been purchasing the DS Lite though, so it’s possible that the system will still have legs with the DSi launches in other territories.

The special DSi will go on sale on May 30 in Japan. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will also launch on the same day.
