Nightmare Reaper

Original (9/5): Nightmare Reaper, which previously released on PC to a strong reception, is now confirmed for Switch. Publisher Feardemic is working with developer Blazing Bit Games on the release.

Nightmare Reaper is a retro-inspired first-person shooter with looter shooter and rogue-lite elements. Read more about it below.

Gamedec Definitive Edition update

Anshar Studios isn’t finished with Gamedec, as it’s been announced that a “Definitive Edition” update is on the way.

New playable content is planned, including a virtual world based on Seven: The Days Long Gone. Additional characters and True Detective Mode, “which will ensure that the decisions you make cannot be undone by loading a save”, are also planned.

Prison Tycoon: Under New Management

Publisher Ziggurat Interactive, along with developer Abylight Studios, announced today that Prison Tycoon: Under New Management is about to make its debut on Switch. It previously released on PC, but is now making the jump to consoles.

The game has players building and managing a correctional facility with the goal of providing rehabilitation for their charges to help them reintegrate into society. Roll Call DLC, Maximum Security DLC, and Sandbox mode will be bundled in for the Switch edition.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered introduction characters

As part of the 2022 Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix today published a pair of trailers for Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered at Tokyo Game Show 2022 focusing on the overall game as well as characters.

For those that missed out on our previous coverage, here’s some information about the title:

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami had originally received a release date of September 15, but the Switch version seems to have suffered a minor setback. Thankfully, publisher 101XP and developer Troglobytes Games have confirmed that fans won’t have to wait long to play the title, as the game will release next week on September 22, 2022.

To Leave gameplay

To Leave recently made it to Switch, and a new round of gameplay is available. 17 minutes of footage provides a look at the puzzle-platformer.

Earthworm Jim, Alisia Dragoon, Beyond Oasis Switch Online

A few more SEGA Genesis games are now available on Nintendo Switch Online, as Earthworm Jim, Alisia Dragoon, and Beyond Oasis have just been added. All three can be accessed if you’re subscribed to the Expansion Pack tier.

Brewmaster delayed

Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator was expected to launch this month, and while that’s still technically the case, the game has been hit with a delay.

We’ve heard from Auroch Digital that the console versions have been pushed back “due to some last-minute hiccups”. The good news is that the delay isn’t expected to be a long one.

Disney Dreamlight Valley September 15 update

A new Disney Dreamlight Valley has now been made available on Switch.

Today’s patch consists of two main aspects. In addition to several balance adjustments, the team has implemented a bunch of bug fixes. The latter even includes bigger text size on Switch.

Super Alloy Ranger

The side-scrolling action game Super Alloy Ranger will be making its way to Switch, publisher Gamera Games and developer Alloy Mushroom announced today. It will be available in 2023, with a specific date to follow later on.
