Wii U eShop

The name “TNT Racers” may sound familiar – that’s because the game was released on WiiWare last year. A souped-up version is now heading to the Wii U eShop, and it should be out in Europe in the very near future.

Keen Games has confirmed to us that TNT Racers’ Wii U version will be called “Nitro Machines Edition” and includes a few exclusive elements. It features new cars, tracks, and pickups, along with a touch-input interface and off-TV play.

TNT Racers: Nitro Machines Edition is planned for release on the European eShop on August 8 (or maybe a week later). A North American date hasn’t been confirmed due to a few difficulties in the submission process, but there is a possibility of an August launch in the states as well. We’ll hopefully have some media to share with you soon.

“Organic Panic”, a new physics puzzle game from Last Limb LLC, had a shot of landing on Wii U. The developers will officially bring the game to Nintendo’s console if funds reach $40,000. While labeled a stretch goal, that figure is the target goal for the actual Kickstarter.

You can find more details on the official Kickstarter page here. Organic Panic is slated for release between January 2014 and summer 2014.

Indie developer Teku Studios created a new Kickstarter last week for its brand new project Candle, a game described as “a dynamic graphic adventure” and a mix between graphic adventure and platformer styles.

In the span of just seven days, the team was able to raise $10,000 of the $40,000 goal. Nintendo fans may want to take part in the Kickstarter, as it will be guaranteed for Wii U if the $85,000 stretch goal is reached.

Candle’s Kickstarter ends on August 16. 21 days remain to fully fund the project – and hopefully the Wii U stretch goal will be met as well.

You can find out more about Candle by visiting the official Kickstarter page here.

Uncharted Waters: New Horizons has been rated by the OFLC. That likely means a new Virtual Console release is planned for the future. Nintendo originally released New Horizons on the Wii Shop Channel way back in 2009.
