Wii U eShop

Nowhere Studios’ new puzzle platformer Monochroma is planned for the Wii U as well as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita, and PC.

Although Nowhere is seeking funding through Kickstarter, the Wii U version appears to be set – the console isn’t a stretch goals, in other words. Though if the initial target of $80,000 isn’t met, the game’s development may be in jeopardy.

If Monochroma does happen, expect to see it on Wii U next May.

You can find more information about Monochroma on the official Kickstarter page here.

Thanks to Matthew for the tip.

Sanuk Games is working on a new title for the Wii U eShop called “Spot the Differences: Party!”, the studio has revealed to Nintendo Everything. It’s a straightforward “Spot the Differences” game that can be played solo with the GamePad or with a Wiimote.

Two local multiplayer modes are also included:

– A synchronous multiplayer more where everybody plays together, one player using the GamePad and others using Wii Remotes
– A turn-based multiplayer mode on the GamePad, allowing players to compare their performances with a synchronous replay at the end of each turn

Spot the Differences: Party! is currently in lotcheck. If all goes well, the game should be out in late August or September.

Cupra Studios is now an official Nintendo developer. Presumably, this should mean that the company can make games for both the Wii U and 3DS.

Cupra’s Oscar Yanez said the following of the news:

“This is a breakthrough in the development of our company because it allows increasing our range of possibilities to create video games based on both own and third-party licenses.”

Harvest Moon appears to be coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this week. According to a listing on the eShop, the SNES game will be out on August 1 – this Thursday. If Harvest Moon does actually hit the Wii U VC, you’ll be able to get it for $7.99.

The name “TNT Racers” may sound familiar – that’s because the game was released on WiiWare last year. A souped-up version is now heading to the Wii U eShop, and it should be out in Europe in the very near future.

Keen Games has confirmed to us that TNT Racers’ Wii U version will be called “Nitro Machines Edition” and includes a few exclusive elements. It features new cars, tracks, and pickups, along with a touch-input interface and off-TV play.

TNT Racers: Nitro Machines Edition is planned for release on the European eShop on August 8 (or maybe a week later). A North American date hasn’t been confirmed due to a few difficulties in the submission process, but there is a possibility of an August launch in the states as well. We’ll hopefully have some media to share with you soon.
