XSEED currently not considering Pandora’s Tower localization
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Long after their original Japanese releases, Xenoblade and The Last Story have finally launched in North America. But there remains one “big” Wii RPG that remains “unlocalized”: Pandora’s Tower.
Pandora’s Tower has been translated into English already. Nintendo localized the title for Europe earlier this year.
Unfortunately, there don’t appear to be any plans to bring the title to North America. Chances are Nintendo won’t ship Pandora’s Tower in the states, and XSEED Games, the publisher of The Last Story, isn’t considering localization at the moment.
XSEED’s Jessica Chavez said:
“…As for Pandora’s Tower, I don’t believe it’s in consideration right now.”
If you’re interested in Pandora’s Tower, you’ll likely have to import and… do some things to your Wii.
n-Space interview tidbits: ‘Winter’ isn’t totally dead, ‘Battlefront: Elite Squadron’ was originally ‘Battlefront 3 – DS’, more

n-Space’s first ever game on PS1, ‘TigerShark’!
All of this information comes from my interview with n-Space, but I figured I’d post it in a more agreeable form for news outlets and people who have neither the time nor interest to indulge my silly interview writing. If you DO have the time or interest to read my silly interview writing, you can find the full article here.
– Originally wanted to include DLC in ‘Heroes of Ruin’, but were unable to in the end.
– An announcement about something (no word on what) to come via their Facebook page “sooner rather than later”.
– A typical game development team squashes 5,000-50,000 bugs on a single project.
– ‘Winter’ (old Wii survival horror game, never released) isn’t necessarily dead. There’s always interest in the game from within the dev team.
– ‘Star Wars: Battlefront – Elite Squadron’ was originally just going to be ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 3 DS’, but when ‘Battlefront 3’ ran into development issues they went through a rebranding.

First Star Beast art, details

Thanks to the game’s Facebook page, we have the first art and details for Star Beast.
We should preface this by saying that it’s not entirely clear how much of this information is still relevant. Most of the gameplay ideas are probably still intact, but the page does mention that the Wii and 3DS are targeted platforms. That’s no longer the case as a LinkedIn profile states that the game will be released on the Wii U, PC, and mobile devices.
In any case, you can find all of the content below.

The Last Story manufacturing issues lead to a slight delay
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Have you been unable to locate any copies of The Last Story at your local retailer? If the answer is yes, you should be aware that there’s a reason for that.
The Last Story was technically supposed to be out on Tuesday. But according to XSEED executive VP Ken Berry, there were some manufacturing issues relating to the game’s included bonus content with all launch units.
Berry explained:
“It is going to vary depending on the retailer, but considering that 8/14 was our ‘ship date,’ I would say by the weekend is when most retailers should have it on store shelves. We always go by ‘ship date’ as opposed to ‘street date,’ but usually we do try shipping our products a few days earlier allowing some of our previous releases to be available on store shelves on the ‘ship date,’ so I can see why some people are wondering why copies aren’t available yet. To be honest, we’ve had so many manufacturing issues with the bonus content on the launch units, specifically the custom outer box holding the game and art book, that production was severely delayed and we almost missed our 8/14 date entirely, preventing us from shipping any units early like we usually do. We were extremely fortunate to be able to ship our units on 8/14 at all due to this unexpected manufacturing issue, so we ask the fans to please be patient and give it a couple extra days for all the units to arrive – we think it will be worth the wait.”
Some folks have already said that their retailers have received copies of The Last Story today. So if you don’t see it soon, I’m sure you’ll be able to pick the title up by the end of the weekend.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings features over 80 playable characters – 85 exactly. Some of the inclusions will be from characters that never appeared in the film adaptations.
The game’s dialogue is being lifted from the films. That means you’ll hear voices from the likes of Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom.
