Fossil Fighters: Champions

Did you know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming to Wii? Perhaps not, since Activision hasn’t even officially announced the game for Nintendo’s console.

It is coming, though, and it looks like it’ll be out alongside the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. Although we still don’t have any media for the game, a fan did take some photos of the box showing screenshots. They’re blurry, but that’s better than nothing I suppose!

This all seems eerily similar to last year’s situation

Thanks to Jake for the tip!

Based on remarks made by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata recently, it doesn’t sound like the Wii U will be ready until late 2012. That means the company will have to support their current console with software for one more year. Surely Nintendo has more software on the way for Wii, right?

According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, there is more to come for the system. In an interview with Brazilian gaming site “UOL Jogos”, Fils-Aime said that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword won’t be the last great Wii title.

Fils-Aime was asked what’s next after Skyward Sword:

“More good games. Many people ask me if ‘Zelda: Skyward Sword’ is the last great game for the Wii and the answer is no. Let’s talk about upcoming games for Wii in late December or early January.”

Right now we are aware of two significant Wii titles that Nintendo will publish in North America next year: Mario Party 9 and Rhythm Heaven Fever. Europe will also be getting The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower. It’ll be interesting to see what else may come our way.

Thanks to Tim for the tip/translation!

Spike aired a portion of this interview on GTTV last week, but now the full video is available. Koji Kondo and Eiji Aonuma take a few moments to talk about the 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert for Zelda and discuss Skyward Sword.
