LEGO: The Lord of the Rings is available on practically every platform. Because of this – as well as Nintendo’s tight relationship with Warner Bros. Interactive – it seemed inevitable that the game would eventually come to Wii U.

As we now know, that won’t happen. But that raises the simple question: why?

A Warner Bros. Interactive rep explained:

“The primary reason is that [Traveller’s Tales] and Lego were already working on Lego City Undercover for Wii U.”

A new patch has been made available for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Wii U. Downloading the update brings the game to v1.1.1.

The patch addresses numerous issues. Boost challenges have been fixed, and online functionality has been improved.

Google Maps will launch in January 2013. It will be free through the end of March.


The following Game & Wario details were shared during the Nintendo Direct broadcast:

– 16 different mini-games
– Each can be played on the GamePad only
– Supports up to five players
– One mini-game: Pretend to be asleep while your mother is walking by the window or peeks in the door
– GamePad holder steals the fruit, other players are G-men trying not to miss seeing theft
– During hint time, a frame is shown over the screen over an area where the thief is
