Enhanced AI, Improved Control and Added Game Modes Announced for the Wii version of the Next Addition to the PES Franchise

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today revealed a new game trailer and details of Pro Evolution Soccer™ 2009 (PES 2009) for Wii™ scheduled to be released on March 17th, 2009. The new game builds on the innovative control system pioneered by its predecessor, with PES 2009 adding a wide range of new control and content elements which will affirm its title as the definitive football title for the Nintendo console.

PES 2009 for Wii boasts three control methods, with the intuitive ‘point and drag’ interface of last year’s game enhanced to make defending and shooting more instinctive. Players use the Nunchuck or the Wii Remote to control the player on the ball, while they pick the player to pass to, or send them on runs into space. The system has been further refined, so that close control is improved, but two new control ideas have also been implemented.

MadWorld gets first review

Posted on 15 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 2 Comments

German gaming magazine M!Games has provided the first review of MadWorld. M!Games gave the title an 81% and praises the game for its stylish graphics, great controls, interesting story, and the freedom that is given to the player. At the same time, M!Games was not happy with the fact that riding the motorcycle is rather boring compared to the rest of the game, the multiplayer isn’t too entertaining, and the camera gets wonky when the action becomes hectic.

Looks like the rumors were true!

Description: This is a 2D role-playing game in which players embark on an adventure involving magical crystals and a mysterious kingdom. Players traverse across a field map or through dungeons and can enter into turn-based battles along the way. Players use a menu screen to select attacks or magic spells against tiny enemies (e.g., leopards, birds, knights, fish monsters, etc.) that blink and disappear when defeated. An item called “Bacchus Wine” is occasionally used to defeat enemies in battle.

The ESRB has also rated Crystal Defenders R1/R2, Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars, and MadWorld
