Become a Legend in Epic Weapon & Magic Duels
LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO (February 3rd, 2010) –SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® of America, Inc. are excited to announce a new project in partnership with developer High Voltage Software – Tournament of Legends™. Exclusive for Wii™, Tournament of Legends is scheduled for release in May 2010.

Take these fighters to epic battles in fantastic fighting arenas where the combatants wield legendary weapons, launch magical attacks and dodge giant mythological creatures that protect their lairs. Master a range of incredible combat moves; including unleashing a man-eating lion, summoning a deadly rain of arrows and throwing a nest of venomous snakes.
Some Metroid: Other M talk from Yoshio Sakamoto

This information comes from Metroid co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto, who recently spoke with Famitsu…
“This project between three companies, which we call Project M, is progressing extremely well. This Metroid is being developed with the aim of the ideal form of the old Metroid. It’s a game that can be realized because of the Wii. [Addressing Metroid being more successful overseas] However, different from the rest of the series, this time we’re strongly depicting the human side of Samus through such things as movies. She’s a strong woman, but she also has a fragile side. We want to make a game whose charms can be felt from the story areas and these human touches as well. It’s an action game, but it’s capable of having a clear emotional side. A lot of people are playing it, so we’re planning a lot of things. We haven’t clearly finalized a followup or anything, but we’d like to do some new things.”
– Since it’s a big project, there have been a few issues, but the development team has ironed them out together
– Team Ninja moving the “2D jump action game” into “3D action.”
– Sakamoto thinks the quality of the game will please fans
– Sakamoto intends to release the game this year

Update: The information has been confirmed and we’ve added some details to this post.
One thing we know for sure about Zelda Wii is that it will be at this year’s E3. Eiji Aonuma previously said that he hoped the game would be at the event, but last week, Satoru Iwata said that the game will definitely be there, no questions asked. What hasn’t been clear, however, is if there will be a playable demo of the title.
Although, in the latest issue of Famitsu, Aonuma apparently told the magazine that the development team is preparing a demo for the event and that they are trying to release the game as soon as possible. This information hasn’t been confirmed, but if Nintendo truly intends to launch Zelda Wii this year, it would make sense for a demo to be available at E3.
Updated information below…
“I’d like to show something playable. We’ll work hard in order to get you playing it as soon as possible. We’ve progressed in development since last year. At present, the core areas have come into clear view. After actually making it compatible [with MotionPlus], it just feels so natural. Link’s sword and the controller that you’re holding become one. Of course [there will be gameplay that puts an emphasis on the ability to swing your sword freely].
– The game will be a Wii MotionPlus-exclusive title
– There may be some enemies in the game that, based on the way you fight them, will solve puzzles
– The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks almost was delayed to 2010, the staff thought early on they would need more time, but since Nintendo didn’t want Spirit Tracks and Zelda Wii to overlap, the team concentrated on releasing the game last year
