Project Needlemouse confirmed for Wii, will be called Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1

– Sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 3
– Episode 1 will be released this summer
– 2D game with 3D visuals
– Will be released for WiiWare
– Start of a new story arc
– Spin dash, power sneakers, homing attack in the game
– Leaderboards let you compete with friends
– Music will feature familiar tempos/styles of the 16-bit titles, but it will have “modern appeal”
– 480p
– Wii version will have some motion control
