Infinity Ward comments on Modern Warfare Wii port
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
First, here’s an opinion from Infinity Ward’s lead multiplayer designer, Todd Alderman…
“It depends on what it ends up being, but I have actually played the Modern Warfare on Wii and I think it is really good. So as long as things aren’t being distorted and becoming things we don’t want them to be, I don’t think it bothers us.”
Inifinity Ward studio head Vince Zampella also commented about Modern Warfare Wii a few days ago…
“At this point, the way we look at it is there are people that don’t have anything but the Wii, and it is great for them to get that experience; to experience the game. At the same time, yes, there is always that worry that you created this thing that you put two years of your blood, sweat, and tears into. You want people to see it in the best possible light. And that is why … well you know. It is Modern Warfare 1. It has been long enough that people can see it. They can see, “Wow. We think this is good.”
It seems like there’s a mixed reaction here. It is encouraging, however, to see that at least one employee over at Infinity Ward is pleased with the Wii version. Let’s just hope that a video is released soon…I can’t believe Activision hasn’t released an official trailer yet with less than two months before the game’s release.
Suda 51 wants to continue No More Heroes on the next Nintendo system, but it won’t be with Travis

“Actually, I answered differently, and it may have been misinterpreted. What I wanted to say was, looking at the Wii, I think No More Heroes 2 will probably be the last iteration for this current platform. But there’s probably going to be a “Wii 2” or other next-gen system from Nintendo at some point, so I was saying that I would want to do another game in the series on the next Nintendo platform.
I want to continue the No More Heroes series, but I’ve finished the story for Travis. It’s completely finished in No More Heroes 2. So I want to think of a different story — a different character, or something like that within the series — starting on the next Nintendo platform.” – Suda 51
This is very, very good news. In some ways, the initial thought that No More Heroes 2 would be the last game in the series on Wii was correct. However, as Suda 51 explained, we’ll be able to play the next game on Nintendo’s next console. I’m a bit sad that it won’t be with Travis, though!

Square Enix president thinks new Wii is coming in 2011

We’ve heard a number of different things about a second Wii, mainly that there will be an HD version of the system. Wedbush-Morgan’s Michael Pachter even went as far as to say that the console will offer PS3/360-like graphics. But now Square Enix president Yoichi Wada has offered his own opinion. According to Wada, a new Wii will arrive in 2011, which will offer an experience similar to Nintendo’s competitors. He also said that there may be a new controller involved. What do you guys think?
