Detective Pikachu Returns icons added to Nintendo Switch Online

Original (9/28): New icons just went up on Nintendo Switch Online, and Detective Pikachu Returns is getting the spotlight. Some recent waves of icons have been reruns or based on titles already featured, but this one is brand new. It also comes ahead of the upcoming launch of the game itself.
Nintendo Switch Online members can now spend My Nintendo Platinum Points on characters (right now it’s all Pikachu), backgrounds, and frames. Characters go for 10 Platinum Points. Backgrounds and frames are 5 each.
New icons will be going live every Thursday at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. The current set will be rotated out until October 26. We’ll update this post as new ones go live.
Although this offer is only for Nintendo Switch Online members, any icons claimed are yours to keep forever. They’ll still be accessible on your account even if your membership ends.
As for Detective Pikachu Returns, it launches on October 6, 2023.
