Fairy Tail 2 release date set for December, special edition, new trailer

Koei Tecmo and Gust just shared the release date for Fairy Tail 2. It’ll be available for Switch on December 11, 2024, the two sides announced today.

Also unveiled is a special edition for Fairy Tail 2. Sold exclusively on the NIS America store (get it here), the Guild Box includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three types in total), and more.

Finally, alongside the release date and Guild Box special edition for Fairy Tail 2, we have a new trailer. The video provides a first look at the heroic and speedy magic battles Natsu and the team must unleash in order to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire. Koei Tecmo says battles have been revamped to reflect the exciting action during combat as fans will be given the opportunity to use the full scope of the Fairy Tail guild members’ skills to triumph over opponents.

Fairy Tail 2 will be sold physically and digitally on Switch. The “Miss Fairy Tail Contest” costume will be offered for Lucy as an early purchase bonus which will be available to download from the digital storefronts until December 27, 2024.
