Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams lacks audio with off-TV play?

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams may not support proper off-TV play on Wii U.
The game, which just launched in Europe today, does allow players to go through the experience on the GamePad. It seems as though audio is missing, however. Visuals appear on the GamePad screen, but sound does not emit from the controller.
So I thought I'd play some #GianaSisters on #WiiU in my break, but there's no gamepad audio so no off TV play, just pointless mirroring!

Another odd tidbit about Giana Sisters – on the Xbox 360, it’s a 1.6GB download. On Wii U though, Twisted Dreams takes up 4GB of storage.
