Itagaki on Devil’s Third – working with Nintendo, using the GamePad, 16-players online
This week’s issue of Famitsu has an interview with Devil’s Third creator Tomonobu Itagaki.
To start off, Itagaki spoke about Nintendo. He believes that the company loves games more than anyone and they love to play. Itagaki feels that working with Nintendo on Devil’s Third is a huge opportunity.
On the topic of Devil’s Third using special elements on Wii U, Itagaki teased:
“It is our policy to make full use of the hardware’s characteristics. I’m currently thinking along the lines of having something other than having you press down on the Wii U GamePad, and something that will make you say, ‘Oh, I see!’”
Other bits from Famitsu include:
– Itagaki previously mentioned that he would like to include elements we’ve yet to see in an online multiplayer game, but these are unknown
– The game takes place in North America
– Participate in a campaign to fight until you’re the last one standing
– Start out as a simple citizen with weapons such as iron pipes and regular pistols
– As the civil war breaks out, you’ll be able to continue fighting as a lone wolf or build your own organization to fight alongside
– 16-player online multiplayer
– The team will continue building on the multiplayer after release
