Posted on February 22, 2020 by (@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch

Gaming news and releases have been a bit slow to kick off 2020. This week though, we did get a new Nintendo Direct dedicated entirely to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. During a presentation that was nearly a half hour long, fans were treated to a lengthy explanation of the game’s various elements.

We have a full recap of the Nintendo Direct here. Some highlights include choosing the island from a range of options, being able to change the landscape by adding bridges and slopes, plans for updates, NookLink, amiibo support, and more.

Given what we saw during the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct, are you now sold on the game? Perhaps you already were before the broadcast even aired. Will you be picking up New Horizons when it launches in just one month? Let us know in the comments below.

I actually HAVE been playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions as a matter of fact. And I am having as much fun now as I did when i played it on Wii U. This is easily my favorite turn based battle system, in that I actually look forward to the gameplay more than anything else. And everything else is also pretty dang good.

I’ve turned on my 3DS for the first time in a while. Beat Mighty Gunvolt and it’s DLC, played some of the bonus content in BoxBoy, BoxBoxBoy and Pushmo, but most importantly I’m getting myself back into Pokemon by playing one I never got to: SoulSilver.

I found a used copy a long while back for relatively cheap and snagged it while I could. Upon starting, I traded all the Pokemon and a nice chunk of items to my old copy of Diamond before starting a new game. RIP brave Starlys and Bidoofs that were lost in the great reset. My first Pokemon game was Gold on GBC but I was too young to understand how to play exactly. So for this SoulSilver playthrough I’ve revived my Totodile in spirit: Toddle. I also found a HootHoot that knew how to use Foresight. I named him NightEye in honor of the Pro Hero from My Hero Academia.

Finished Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. I really liked the battle system, story, characters and music; wasn’t a huge fan of needed to warp back to base to upgrade weapons or recycling dungeon mechanics and boss fights. On to Final Fantasy 7 now before the remake comes out. Got out of Midgar in 4 1/2 hours, I love that turbo mode. It will be interesting to see how they turn that section into a full 50 RPG for FF7 Remake part 1.
