[Let’s Talk] Pokemon Presents July 2025 recap reactions

If you tuned in to this week’s Pokemon Presents event, we have a simply question – what did you think of it?

The presentation again gave Pokemon fans all of the latest news, updates, and announcements. One of the more notable segments was for Pokemon Friends, a puzzle game that was revealed and released on the same day. We also saw a new look at Pokemon Champions, which is slated for 2026. And we saw the latest footage of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, including a first look at Mega Dragonite. You can find a handy recap of everything shown here.

Highlights from last week’s topic: Donkey Kong Bananza impressions

Game of the year contender. The “Mario Odyssey” DNA is plastered all over this game: Never a dull moment, always on the move, always getting hit with new ideas, levels, power-ups and more.

I see a lot of hate regarding the scores that reviewers gave it, but I just have to say that there are two types of people right now:

People that think that DK Bananza shouldn’t be on the short-list of GOTY contenders by the end of the year, and people that actually played the game.

Just beat it and the ending is crazy. Really cool way to honor the legacy of the franchise and I hope we get more DK games in this vein. Better than Mario Odyssey for me.
