[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – May 2016

A new month is here! We entered May last week, so that means we want to know what you’ve been playing. Have you started up something entirely new for the month? Or maybe you’re continuing something you started a little while back? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments below!

NX is gonna be good and that’s all that matters. In the case that it released this year you would get complainers. In the case it releases next year (a mere 3 months later no doubt) you will get complainers. Some call it a lose-lose scenario, but if you’re like me, it’s win-win. There’s no way I can lose with a new Nintendo console. My birthday is in March.

I was on team 2017 so I’m ok with NX launching next year, they need a proper launch line-up so they better not rush it and no NX at E3 seems like a smart move to me because the PS4K ”Neo” will be there probably with some fancy trailers showcasing impressive graphics, but if they wait and reveal it after E3 then NX will get all the buzz and attention instead of sharing it with the PS4 Neo
Zelda being delayed to launch simultaneously on both Wii U and NX makes sense, it sucks that we have to wait a bit more but it’s Zelda so it’ll be worth it, and I’m actually excited about Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing coming to mobile devices

Giving the Wii U a decent length (4.5 year) life span is respectable. Also I fully support N’s desire to launch NX with a list of strong titles and no droughts after.
• Zelda •
I understand N wanting this as an NX launch title and if it came out earlier for Wii U it’d undercut potential NX sales. But still, disappointing that Wii U owners have to wait because NX.
• E3 •
I don’t care much about E3. I don’t know why people are fixated on it or feel like N has to do something there, NX or otherwise. As for NX, I personally think an invite only, live reveal IN JAPAN would be most fitting.
• Mobile •
This is shaping up to be a larger element in N’s strategy than I first imagined. I was thinking N was building mobile around NX – now I’m beginning to think NX is being built around mobile.

In some ways I feel E3 just is becoming more and more irrelevant to Nintendo. I hope the company brings back a yearly event like Space World or something akin to that to deliver announcements whilst giving gamers and the media a chance to play its titles.
