Haunted Towers Gem locations in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
Today, we’re going over all the locations for the Haunted Towers Gems in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. If you missed our Gloomy Manor gems guide, you can catch up on that via this link first.
Gems take the form of Emeralds at the Haunted Towers, and they’re another form of the main collectible found in the game. Most of the gems we list here can only be obtained in a specific room of a specific mission, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to uncover all 13 of them.
Gem #1 (Lobby, B-1)
Behind the stairs off to the left is a hidden crevice with an emerald inside. This one’s pretty easy!
Gem #2 (Laboratory, B-1)
In the room with the bubble plants, position Luigi in such a way that he falls into the giant test tube at the west end of the area. There is another emerald here trapped in cobwebs.
Gem #3 (Garden, B-2)
Fill up a bucket with some water and use it on the nearby flowers. The one on the south end of the screen contains another emerald.
Gem #4 (Botany Lab, B-2)
Use the water spout available in this room to fill up another bucket. Splash the flowers in the back with some water to reveal another one of the Haunted Towers gem locations.
Gem #5 (Seedling Lab, B-2)
There’s a shooting device in this room that you can use to shoot down a mouse carrying this emerald. Aim slightly in front of where it’s going and you should have no problem claiming it!
Gem #6 (Tower Lobby, B-3)
There are some hidden pipes at the northwest end of this room up a few steps. Reveal them with your Dark-Light Device and then use the Poltergust to activate the water wheel. There’s also a nearby door you’ll need to reveal with your Dark-Light Device – look for the rug on the floor to figure out where exactly it is. Enter the door after doing all this and you’ll be able to use a cactus plant to take out a Venus fly trap guarding this gem.
Gem #7 (Hollow Tree, B-3)
Set a nearby web ball on fire and then go left to find a small cave. Set these webs on fire with your ball to reveal a bucket. Fill up this bucket with some water and then head into a cave on the right. Splash this flower with water to reveal another one of the Haunted Towers gems!
Gem #8 (Old Graveyard, B-3)
This emerald is hanging from a vine. Look up and suck it in with the Poltergust to claim it for yourself!
Gem #9 (Skybridge, B-4)
Suck up all the hanging flowers, and the last one will drop another Haunted Towers gem.
Gem #10 (Rumpus Room, B-4)
This room is called the Play Room in PAL versions of the game, if you’re playing one! It’s also home to one of the trickier Haunted Towers gem locations. The doll’s head here will follow you around, and if you walk around it in a circle, the head will unscrew itself and come off. There is another gem inside.
Gem #11 (Solarium, B-4)
There is an invisible treasure chest on top of the table here that you can reveal with your Dark-Light Device. Do so to claim another gem!
Gem #12 (Conservatory, B-4)
Grab a balloon plant and head up to the higher level on the right side. There’s an invisible door on the east wall, so reveal it with your Dark-Light Device. You’ll be transported to a red coin minigame, and you only get one attempt per mission – fail it, and you’ll need to redo the whole mission to try again. For this one, we’d recommend heading right along the outer path before moving into the interior section and then up the stairs. You’ll receive another gem for your troubles.
Gem #13 (Bathroom, B-4)
Suck up the roll of toilet paper with your Poltergust to claim another gem. With that, you’ve uncovered every single one of the Haunted Towers gem locations in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. Great work!
We’ll be posting gem location guides for the next few mansions as well, so if you’d like to stay up to date, check out our master list of them right here. More to come soon.
