Nintendo Cube is the new name name for NDcube, the studio known for its work on the Mario Party series.

A notice about the change was posted on the company’s website yesterday. The announcement doesn’t include much information as it simply states that NDcube will be known as Nintendo Cube moving forward.

Here’s a small look at the new logo:

Nintendo and Dentsu founded NDcube in 2000. Nintendo already had the most shares of the company at 78 percent, but in 2010, purchased all shares from Dentsu and others.

As mentioned above, NDcube is largely known for its work on the Mario Party series these days, including the upcoming Switch release Super Mario Party Jamboree. The company has been involved with other titles though, including Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, and Wii Party just to name a few.

Hudson Soft was the original developer of the Mario Party series. But since the company was essentially absorbed by Konami over a decade ago, it makes sense that many of its employees migrated over to NDcube. Shuichiro Nishiya, who was the director of many Mario Party entries, currently serves as the president of Nintendo Cube.
