Mega Man producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has left Capcom
Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has left Capcom, it’s been revealed. Tsuchiya updated his Twitter bio recently which shows that he is no longer with the company.
Arguably the biggest credit for Tsuchiya is serving as producer on Mega Man 11. Additionally, he was involved with the Mega Man Legacy Collections. It seems that his time at Capcom stretches back to Mega Man 7 as a programmer on that title. Overall, Tsuchiya was at Capcom for nearly three decades.
Tsuchiya essentially took over the mantle of leading the Mega Man series after Keiji Inafune left Capcom in 2010. It’ll now be up to another staffer in the company to serve a similar role in the future.
Those interested in Mega Man can play a ton of the series’ games on Switch. Mega Man 11, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man X Legacy Collection, Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection, and the recently-released Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection are all on the platform now. That last one recently released and already sold over one million copies worldwide.
