Minecraft 2022 mob vote results announced, sniffer to be added

Minecraft Live 2022 is taking place today, and as part of that, the winner was announced for this year’s mob vote.

Fans could choose between the tuff golem, rascal, or sniffer. Ultimately, it was sniffer that won out, and it will be fully developed and added to the game in the future. Sniffer received over half of the total votes.

Here’s the official overview of the creature:

This ancient creature was once part of the Overworld’s ecosystem, now you can bring back the sniffer if you can find its egg! Hatch new mobs, breed them, and figure out how to make the sniffer thrive once more. There are seeds out there that only the sniffer can find!

Players were able to carry out the mob vote through a Bedrock server, the Minecraft launcher, and on the official website. In previous years, this was simply done on Twitter.
