Over 30 minutes of cut NPC dialogue discovered for Metroid Prime 4
YouTuber Bearborg posted a new video this week containing all base camp interactions for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which includes a ton of cut dialogue. There’s a little over 30 minutes in total as found in the files.
Throughout the game, players encounter troops from the Galactic Federation. Myles MacKenzie, Reger Tobaki, Sergeant Ezra Duke, Private First Class Nora Armstrong, and VUE-995 are a part of the story. As it turns out, these characters were meant to say a lot more, but a bunch of lines were left on the cutting room floor.
Why exactly the dialogue was scrapped from the final release remains unclear. However, in some ways this may have been the right decision as the inclusion of the Galactic Federation troopers and their role in the game has been controversial.
In any case, you can listen to everything below, starting at the 7:38 mark.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is out now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Check out our review of the game here.
