But Austin, what am I about to watch!?

Do you like Mythbusters? Do you like “Let’s Play” videos? Then you’ll love this! Aysha and Austin shift gears for this week’s episode of TPPG by taking on some rumored easter eggs and glitches in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, seeing which ones pan out and which ones are just lies floating in an ocean of beautiful blue Gamecube graphics.

Gabrielle Shrager would change one aspect of ZombiU if given the chance. In an interview with Game Informer, the game’s lead writer and story design director said that she would add in more melee weapons.

“More melee weapons would be one of the first things on our list. Give me a halberd to keep those zombies back! The pickings in the Tower of London’s armory would feel like Christmas!”

ZombiU players do have the cricket bat at their disposal. However, as Shrager explained, it’s intended “to be used almost as a last resort”. Shrager would’ve liked to see additional weapons for those who depend on melee combat.

“The cricket bat was designed to be used almost as a last resort, significant because it’s such a violent assault on your senses. Players quickly learn that it won’t save their bacon against more than one zombie at a time (either the hard way, or by listening to the Prepper). Some players depend on it entirely instead of scavenging for ammo and new gear, and these players deserve a richer melee experience.”

Capcom has given us a dilemma. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is coming out in March, but for two platforms: Wii U and 3DS. Which version should you buy? Some fans are thinking about picking up both.

For series followers in the UK, GAME has put up a pre-order page for a “Monster Hunter 3 Double Pack”. It includes Ultimate for Wii U and 3DS. Buying the two separately would set you back £73, so you’d saving a tiny bit by purchasing the Double Pack for £70.

You can find additional information on GAME’s site here.

This episode was really awesome because it was the first time that me, Jack, Laura, AND Aysha have been together for an episode since some of the very first ones we recorded. Some great discussions about how Twilight Princess was (or wasn’t!) as artistic as the other Zelda games, how the new Monolith Soft game might not be so colorful either, and plenty of talking about the Nintendo Direct! Top ten list? The things YOU guys are most excited about from the Nintendo Direct!

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has been a smashing success for Square Enix. Since launch, the publisher shipped 300,000 copies throughout Japan.

Producer Tomoya Asano told 4Gamer:

“Yes, I’d like to report to everyone that Bravery Default has broken over 300,000 copies shipped. I think by the end of the month, the sales numbers will achieve 300,000.”

No one (well, aside from the folks at Square Enix) knows what lies in the future for Bravely Default, but the IP is far from done. Asano teased future developments while speaking with 4Gamer:

“The official [Bravely Default] Twitter account has been in a silent state lately, partly because the consumer camp has been all out of information. However, from this year to about next year, I’m thinking there are a lot of things that I want to prepare for everyone to look forward to, so please continue to follow the Twitter account. I want to share information with everyone as soon as developments start again, so thank you in advance.”
