Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version arrive in Europe March 4th!
New Legendary Pokémon, new heroes, a surprising new region, plus new ways for players to have fun and communicate locally are just a few of the innovative and exciting gameplay features offered by Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, which launch across Europe on 4th March 2011, exclusively for the Nintendo DS family of portable systems.
Redefining the Pokémon series, Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version offer fans and newcomers alike a completely new adventure to discover and enjoy – and for the first time ever in the series, the two games feature their own individual areas to explore. Set in the Unova region, which is located far away from the Kanto and Johto regions Pokémon fans will be familiar with, both games also feature all-new action-packed locations, such as the bustling urban environment of Castelia City.
Activision and Treyarch are continuing to support the Wii version of Call of Duty: Black Ops. The following changes have been made to the game:
• Explosives are not visible through walls when using Hacker perk.
• Ninja perk is ineffective at times.
• Additional sound mix tuning for Ninja Pro users – increased ranges and volume of enemy footsteps, and removed player footstep sounds
on concrete material types.
• Increased headshot multipliers for sniper rifles. Sniper rifles with suppressors equipped will be ensured one-shot kill headshots.
• Added a negative influencer to all spawn points to decrease the chances of spawning near an enemy. This will further improve spawning
protection on top of previous updates.
• Previous Map Spamming – players are currently able to vote for the previously played map an unlimited number of times
• Incorrect Prestige Emblems appearing at certain levels
• Sending out text messages to massive groups can cause the game to freeze
• Demolition – getting a loss registered despite earning a win
• Some players experiencing crashes when viewing leaderboards with a high number of Allies
• Stuck in spawn spot in Cracked
• Voice Chat breaks up at times
• More reported cases of “unbound” controls
• Second Chance “invincible glitch”
• Several fixes that should improve performance/lag for host and client
• Shorter spawn-in (black screen) times in MP matches
• Zombie Legs – create-a-crawler
“Between ‘Nintendogs + Cats’ and ‘Pilotwings,’ those two franchises, either on the original DS or on other legacy systems like the NES or Super NES, have sold tens of millions of copies. Those two franchises have a lot of strength all by themselves. ‘Steel Diver’ is a brand new experience, and from a compelling standpoint, we think it’s awfully compelling. Mario, Zelda, all of those titles are coming. From our perspective, we like to launch titles when they’re ready. And so they’ll be ready, they’ll be ready soon. Just not in that initial time period of late March to early June. I would say ‘Super Street Fighter 4,’ I would say ‘Dead or Alive,’ I would say ‘Madden’ and I would say, yes, the three first-party launch games that we have, as well.”
This is pretty much in line with what Nintendo has said previously. Nintendogs + cats will likely be available on day one, with PilotWings Resort and Steel Diver not too far behind. Then we’ll see some of the company’s other games sprinkled throughout the year. I just hope we don’t see Ocarina of Time sooner rather than later!

This information comes from Head of Team Ninja Yosuke Hayashi…
“For the battery stuff, basically, 3D viewing for a long time would be kind of tiring for your eyes, that’s why for the hardcore gamer we can switch the 3D depth slider to off. Without 3D viewing we can run the game (Dead or Alive: Dimensions) at 60fps, which the hardcore gamer can enjoy. People can choose [3D or no 3D] – that’s why we’re providing the option. People can play either way. 3D viewing is very interesting and more appealing.
“[Street Fighter is] originally and now a 2D fighting game. But, for us, Dead or Alive is a 3D fighting game – so [Capcom has] a limitation with Street Fighter. As a 3D fighting game we have a lot of possibility, and it is natural to convey it to 3DS. [Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition] has a figurine battle. We are in the fighting game genre, and they’re not fighting! [The game] remembers the habit and customs of the person playing – we’re going to fight with avatars which remember the action habit of the players.”
I think it’s understandable that people are upset with the 3DS’ battery life. 3-5 hours is a rather big step back from previous Nintendo handhelds. It might help if we were to receive a breakdown of the battery life with the different backlight settings, Wi-Fi/3D on/off, and other features in use/not in use.
