Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC free to all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members starting today

Nintendo just announced the release date for Splatoon 3, and is hyping up the news with a special offer. Starting today, active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can experience the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC at no additional cost.
This content was previously being distributed as a separate purchase. Nintendo says the DLC is “a great way to train up” for Splatoon 3.
For those that haven’t played the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC previously, here’s what to expect:
In the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC you play as Agent 8, an Octoling who awakens without her memories on a dark subway platform. Navigate a mysterious underground test facility in this adventure that spans 80 missions packed with challenges you won’t find in the main game. Escape from these twisted depths, and you’ll be able to join multiplayer matches as your very own Octoling.
Splatoon 2 and its Octo Expansion DLC are out now. Splatoon 3 arrives on September 9, 2022 on Switch.
