Suda51 shares his reasoning for bumping Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes into 2019

Yesterday, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes finally received its release date. After originally targeted for the end of 2018, we’ll be seeing the game at the start of 2019 instead.

Director Suda51 offered up his reasoning as to why Travis Strikes Again is now a 2019 title. In an interview with Destructoid, he pointed to Smash Bros.:

“So, as you know, Super Smash Bros. is coming out in December. I’d feel really bad about impacting their sales negatively. I’ll give them a break and move it over into next year.”

Suda51 can be a bit cheeky at times, so he was probably half-serious here. Still, it’s the only reason we have at present.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will launch on January 18.
