Switch update out now (version 15.0.0), patch notes
Nintendo is now offering the latest firmware update for Switch, version 15.0.0.
Despite being a main number change, this one seems relatively insignificant in nature. At the same time, there’s more here than simple stability improvements – though of course that’s also included.
The main highlight is that it’s now possible to take screenshots within the Nintendo Switch Online application (video capture isn’t supported still). Additionally, Nintendo has moved the location of where the Bluetooth Audio menu is located.
The full patch notes for the Switch version 15.0.0 firmware update are as follows:
- The location of the Bluetooth Audio menu within System Settings has moved.
- Screenshots can be taken using the Capture Button while in the Nintendo Switch Online application found on the Nintendo Switch Home Menu.
- Video capture is not supported.
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
The last couple of Switch updates have focused on stability improvements. Earlier in the year, version 14.0.0 was released which came with what is Nintendo’s answer to folders in the form of groups. You can find more information about that here.
Version 13.0.0, released in September 2021, added support for Bluetooth audio, an update dock setting, and more. Get caught up on those patch notes here.
