Switch continues to sell, but as far as EA support goes, we haven’t seen a whole lot. So far, the FIFA series has ended up along on the platform along with Fe from Zoink and a port of Unravel Two. During a financial call this week, EA commented on its thinking behind Switch support.

According to CEO Andrew Wilson, EA’s internal data indicates “a great many Switch owners also own a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One or a PC and very often choose to play the games that we make on those platforms even though they have a Switch and they enjoy a lot of great content on the Switch.”

EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently shared some new comments about Switch. During a financial call, Wilson was asked about how the publisher feels about the platform following its launch.

We thought it might be wise to pass along Wilson’s full comments. As transcribed by Seeking Alpha, he stated the following:

“So we feel really good about it. Again, we came out early and said that we’ll be supporting the Nintendo Switch with our biggest title in FIFA. We have a tremendous relationship with Nintendo and have done for many, many years and are excited by the fact that they have come out very strong and are bringing in a whole new player base into the ecosystem. We continue to be bullish on it and are looking at other titles that we might bring to the Switch.”

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

During its latest financial call today, EA was asked about Switch. CEO Andrew Wilson said that the publisher is now very bullish on the system, and expressed excitement that a new ecosystem exists. Wilson also stated that EA is considering additional games for Switch.

As of now, EA is only working on one title for Nintendo’s console – that being FIFA 18. It remains to be seen if and when we’ll be seeing any other games from the company.
