Super Mario RPG Switch remake has already surpassed the original game’s lifetime sales

Nintendo should be pleased with how Super Mario RPG is performing on Switch as the remake has already outsold the original.
As part of today’s financial results, we learned that the game has sold 3.14 million units. Believe it or not, that’s actually above what the SNES version did in its lifetime, and by quite a fair bit. The original release only sold 2.14 million. Also worth noting, the feat was done in just six weeks.

Siliconera has translated several new details about ArtePiazza’s Accel Knights 2, and we’ve rounded them up below. You can also check out a new trailer.
– Takes place in a different world
– World is full of magic, kings, and knights
– Those who can control magic become kings and start their kingdoms
– There are wars going on among kingdoms, resulting in the creation of the knights to protect the kings
– Since then, these knights have become a necessary force to fight against magic
– Play as a protagonist named Halt
– Halt will take on various other knights as you progress
– Game has a competitive versus mode
– Use other knights in this mode
– Play battles locally and online
– Challenge mode included
– In this mode, you’ll set various handicaps while taking on tough foes
– Get special equipment after completing the challenge
– Game has the mecha “horse” bikes, the Hound VX Yaksha and the Red Fang Mk 2
– Trailer shows a mashing feature with the A, B, and X buttons for the first battle, followed by another one that requires timing the A button along a meter
– Out on July 30 in Japan
“We’ve not announced it for outside of Japan yet. We’d like to concentrate on the launch for Japan first and see how the game is received before committing to US/Europe.”
Arrow of Laputa: A Shadowless Teacher and the Key of Chiron heading to the Japanese 3DS eShop next week

ArtePiazza has revealed a follow-up to Arrow of Laputa, a downloadable tower defense title released for DSi in 2010. “Arrow of Laputa: A Shadowless Teacher and the Key of Chiron” will be available on the Japanese 3DS eShop next Wednesday. Pricing is set at 500 yen.
