Afterimage “Trial of Souls” update out now, patch notes and trailer

Afterimage has revealed a major update known as “Trial of Souls”.
The update adds an all new playable boss rush mode as well as a number of other additions. Some adjustments and bug fixes have been implemented as well.

The first update for Afterimage has just gone live on Switch.
This patch contains multiple adjustments, improvements, and fixes. Some of the specifics relate to improvements to the fast travel system (now available at the beginning of the game), the map (locations are now automatically revealed after visiting them for the first time), and adjustments to the number of HP and MP potions you can carry.

Afterimage release date set for April, new trailer

Afterimage has secured a final release date on Switch. Today, publisher Modus Games and developer Aurogon Shanghai revealed that the title is due out on April 25, 2023.
For those that missed our previous coverage, Afterimage is a hand-drawn 2D action adventure game. We first heard about it exactly one year ago.

Afterimage out in Q4 2022, new trailer

We have a release date update on Afterimage, the hand-drawn 2D Metroidvania made by Aurogon Shanghai. Modus Games has picked up the title for publishing and has announced its availability for Q4 2022.
Afterimage was announced for Switch in December 2021. It had a general 2022 release window at the time.
