Paper Mario-esque RPG Escape from Ever After confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Today, HypeTrain Studio and Sleepy Castle Studio confirmed that they’re bringing Escape from Ever After to Nintendo Switch. It’ll be appearing on January 23, 2026.
Escape from Ever After is an RPG-adventure game. It promises “snappy, stylish turn-based combat, genre-bending storybook worlds, and heaps of cartoony charm”.

Die in the Dungeon is seeing release on Nintendo Switch, it’s been announced. As of now it’s unclear when this version of the game will be ready, though if you’re going to Gamescom this week, it will be playable at Nintendo’s booth.
Die in the Dungeon is a turn-based roguelike game with dice. You’ll battle enemies by combining powerful dice on your board, boost their effects with magical relics, and risk it all in hopes of achieving a good roll on unexpected encounters.

Metroidvania game Akatori coming to Switch

HypeTrain Digital, along with Code Wakers, have now confirmed plans to bring Akatori to Switch. A release window has yet to be announced.

Black Book getting a physical release on Switch

Limited Run Games announced its latest physical release on Switch today, which will be Black Book. There’ll only be a standard version – no special editions planned.
Black Book originally launched for Switch in August 2021. Up until now, it’s only been sold as a digital download.

Tower Princess release date set for September

Publisher HypeTrain Digital and developer AweKteaM have set a final release date for Tower Princess, their 3D roguelite platformer. It will arrive on September 8, 2022 for Switch.
Tower Princess was originally announced in March 2021. We were first given a 2021 release window, so the game did indeed experience a delay.
