The Jackbox Party Pack 9 gameplay

Following the launch of The Jackbox Party Pack 9 on Switch this week, new gameplay has emerged. We have a look at all of the experiences that are included – specifically Fibbage, Quixort, Junktopia, Nonsensory, and Roomerang.

Below is some additional information:

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 release date

Today, Jackbox Games announced a final release date for The Jackbox Party Pack 9. We have confirmation that it will launch on October 20, 2022.

Speaking about the decision to wait so long for a release date, Jackbox Games explained: “It’s true that we usually release our new title around this time of year! In the time leading up to launch, we have to submit our game to all of the many platforms we’re available on. Until we pass the submission process, we’re unable to select a release date. Because we have a speedy annual release cycle, the time between submission and release is super quick! As soon as we can, we pick a date and share it with the world!”

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 trailer

A new trailer has gone live for The Jackbox Party Pack 9 ahead of the title’s upcoming launch. Fibbage 4, Junktopia, Nonsensory, Roomerang, and Quixort are all shown off.

Here’s some information about each one:

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 Quixort

Jackbox Games today pulled back the curtain on the next part of The Jackbox Party Pack 9, and has now revealed Quixort. It will be joining Fibbage 4, Nonsensory, Junktopia, and Roomerang.

Here’s what to expect from Quixort:

Jackbox Party Pack 9 Junktopia

Today, Jackbox Games announced that Junktopia is joining The Jackbox Party Pack 9 as its fourth game.

According to the studio, this is “a joke-driven writing game where you win by building funny backstories for unusual objects.” Players are turned into frogs by the wizard Nikolas Knackalus, but he’ll turn them back if they can  turn the most profit by reselling antiques.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 Nonsensory

Today, Jackbox Games unveiled Nonsensory as the third game for The Jackbox Party Pack 9. It follows the previous announcements of Roomerang and Fibbage 4.

Nonsensory combines writing, drawing, and guessing for a silly, laid-back game of perception and intuition. It provides players with their fix of fun and fantasy with creative prompts that test their levels of NSP (Nonsensory Perception). They’ll need to accurately intuit the secret nonsense in the minds of their friends.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 Fibbage 4

As Jackbox Games slowly continues to reveal details about The Jackbox Party Pack 9, it’s now been announced that Fibbage 4 will be included in the game.

Several features have already been confirmed. These include Cookie Masterson as host, a Fibbage Enough About You mode in which all questions are about you and your friends, Cookie’s VHS Vault containing video clips from zany old movies, Fibbage Fan Questions with real weird stories told on video by the real Fibbage fans that lived them, more question categories, a new Final Fibbage, themed episodes, new audience features, and updated moderation tools.

Jackbox Party Starter

Jackbox Games today announced The Jackbox Party Starter, “a collection of three previously released, yet newly updated games from our roster that are sure to be a hit at any party, event, or game night.”

This release will be of particular interest to those that haven’t experienced the series before. Some aren’t sure where to start, which is what Jackbox Games is looking to address here.

Jackbox Party Pack 9

Jackbox Games is continuing its tradition of quirky game collections with The Jackbox Party Pack 9. The developer just made the title official a short while ago.

Concrete details are not known at this time. However, the first game will be announced next week. It will be revealed during a stream called “Inside the Box” on February 24.
