Old Man’s Journey

You’ve likely heard about the likes of Limited Run Games, Super Rare Games, and Warned Collectors. These are all companies who have teamed up with smaller teams to offer physical versions of their titles.

Red Art Games is another company that is fairly new in this space. Today, the European publisher announced its first Switch release: Old Man’s Journey. Previously an eShop exclusive, Old Man’s Journey will be going physical in April. Pre-orders open this Thursday on Red Art Games’ website here.

Old Man’s Journey looks to be launching on Switch very soon. The game now has a listing on the Japanese eShop, showing a release date of February 22 for 1,000 yen. Pre-loading is live as well.

Broken Rules has yet to announce this news officially. However, we would expect that the North American and European release would take place around the same time.

Last week, Broken Rules announced Old Man’s Journey for Switch. The game comes from the same studio as And Yet it Moves and Chasing Aurora.

Broken Rules has since shared a few additional tidbits about the Switch version. In terms of features, a two-player mode will be included in addition to support for HD Rumble. You’ll also be able to play the game with motion pointer controls. Touchscreen and stick input are in, too.

Broken Rules has appeared on Nintendo platforms for many years. The company first started out by bringing And Yet It Moves to Wii. A few years later, Broken Rules made Chasing Auora for Wii U.

Broken Rules’ latest game also appears to be planned for a Nintendo console. The Switch news section just added in a channel for Old Man’s Journey, revealing that a release is planned on the console.
