SR Tronic

SR Tronic will be forced to pay up €1 million after the Supreme Court of Munich ruled that copy devices made to play pirated games are illegal.

Nintendo intends to use this result in lawsuits against manufacturers, stores, and import companies involved with such devices. By doing so, it hopes to benefit more than 1,400 companies who contribute to the development and sale of legitimate video games.

An appeal for the verdict is a possibility for the future. However, Nintendo believes that any additional decisions would line up with current European and German rulings.
