Geoff Keighley has just shared some more information on this year’s Summer Game Fest. Specifically, he’s reaffirmed that the event is still planned to take place later this year, and specified that it will occur sometime in June.

He’s also mentioned that he will host a live Kickoff show occurring at the start of the event. As expected, the presentation will feature new announcements and first looks at various gaming properties. Details regarding the event will be available on the official website here, with more information set to be released in the coming weeks.

Summer Game Fest 2022

Summer Game Fest will be continuing for its third consecutive year and is set to return in 2022, creator Geoff Keighley has announced. As was the case in 2020 and 2021, it will take place during the summer.

Summer Game Fest was originally created as one of the ways to replace E3. During the early stages of the covid pandemic in 2020, it was impossible to have large-scale gatherings and many companies were scrambling with their plans due to much uncertainty at the time. While Summer Game Fest was more of a hub for gaming events in 2020, Keighley put on a proper show this past June. It had some notable news and announcements such as Metal Slug Tactics, Two Point Campus, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance for Switch.

More information about Summer Game Fest 2022 will be shared at a later date. In the meantime, Keighley is preparing for The Game Awards 2021, which is happening in just under a week.
