Super Mario Bros movie rating

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been given a final rating by the Motion Picture Association. The film was recently added to the official database, and we now know that it will be rated PG.

Unlike ESRB classifications, which often go into detail about games, we don’t have too much information about The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The listing merely states that The Super Mario Bros. Movie is PG for action and mild violence.

After much anticipation, the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie debuted earlier this month. It offered a first glimpse of the animation and a tease as to what fans can expect from Chris Pratt as Mario, Jack Black as Bowser, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad (who improvised a song, by the way). Khary Payton later confirmed he voiced the penguin king.

Other cast highlights include Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike. Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario in the games, will also have cameos.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was originally planned for this December, but it was delayed earlier in the year. It will now hit theaters on April 7, 2022.
