1. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
I do think it would have been quite the crime to have this game anywhere else on the list than here. Sure, some players might say it’s too flawed to be considered better than the nigh-flawless game that is Galaxy 2, but when it comes down to it, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is if not the best game in the Zelda series, the most unique, refreshing, and polarizing game to hit the franchise in quite a long time. Almost ironic that the game– which was truly the first time the Wii’s controls truly “clicked” with core gamers– came out at the end of the console’s life cycle, but in the words of Charles Dickens (not Charles Dickens), “Better late than never.”
