Got to hand it to them, this game looks great.

I do enjoy that the GBA had more color, like the carpet/backgrounds but of course the 3d looks really nice.

  • Bummed they turned the air-plight koopas into generic koopas, that’s so boring. I wish they had tried to keep a lot of the exaggeration and design in tact. At least they kept Cackletta looking great.

all my thoughts exactly. they could have turned some of the characters more towards the viewer like they did in the GBA one too

Looking at this, I think I’ll just pick up the original. The pixel art style is just oozing with charm.

I can’t stand looking at the original now.

I don’t know why but I prefer the original graphics ….

Because it shows faces with big eyes and mouths? Because character design is expressed with lines rather than tones and smooth colours? The new graphics are totally my thing, but not for the story segments. There’s a new organic feeling to it that feels less digital and less weird. In bad words, it’s less like Earthbound and more like a soft painting of a rainforest.

i really don’t know i could not say. I like the new one too but the graphic style of the original is better for me. I have never played earthbound tough i want some day. I think they show their emotions better in the old one
