For UK, that’s quite good. For years Nintendo has been performing poorly on that territory, 137k units is good in comparison to what they’ve been selling there.

Of course, not nowhere near as good as the PS4. They still have a looooong way to go…

Switch is a new system…. it should be selling more…. ps4 has been out for years now.. it over for Switch in the UK

      • Tlink7

        Stock shortages.

    • ibo

Nintendo needs to cut off the 3DS to save the Switch.. but they keep making games for the dumb 3DS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1c6e5bfec436a073befc32164cd1bd377bfba3cd1bc334f7028011662d334faa.jpg

It is a pretty smart idea to see if your new ship floats before jumping into it. 3DS will be phased out if the Switch is a succes. I also think you like yourself a bit much 😛

  • ibo

    only 137,185 while xbox one sold 513,606 & ps4 sold 824,781…..
it’s over for Switch… burn it down and start working on a new console Nintendo…. it’s over.. this is why Mario Kart 8 should have been out this week…. not the end of F%$King april…

You make yourself sound like you’re trolling, but in case you’re not…The Switch was just released. It had a total of 4-5 games in retail on UK on march against the MOUNTAINS of games on XBox One and PS4. And also those two platforms together have a much bigger install base and UK is not a good Nintendo market. It was not a bad number of software at all.

      • ibo

        what’s a troll?

    • Kenshin0011

      Switch stock is limited

    • DarkVader

Are you bullshitting or are you indeed that dumb?! Switch is by far the most successful console on launch in like forever in most of Europe even with the stock shortage situation, interest and momentum are big, UK is the crappiest market for gaming, pure casual, all they buy is fifa and cod with some gta. Lmao

  • awng781

My guess is that the Switch hardware itself has sold roughly 115,000 to 120,000 units in its first month.

By comparison, the Wii U sold 160,000 units by the end of 2013.

Shame such crap like Andromeda and Wildlands is up so high

    • ForeVision

I heard Andromeda has some issues, but those will probably be ironed out, not to mention that it’s BioWare’s sister studio that’s responsible, not their main one. It’s effectively their first game, or so I’ve heard.

As for Wildlands, yes, I’ve heard that it’s only good in multiplayer. Don’t own any of these games, so I can’t give any in depths analysis ofc :P.

      • Tlink7

I don’t own the games either, but what I’ve heard about them has been mixed at best. Both have rather mediocre metascores as well, so I’m not sure how much ”ironing out” is going to help here xD the main studio should have been more strictly supervising the newbies then

        • DarkVader

Don’t bother, the problems run deeper than animation and glitches, it’s one of the worst games I played in years in a generation full of disappointing games and hype misfires.

          • Tlink7

Shame to hear… well thanks for the warning xD

      • KnickKnackMyWack

Can’t speak for Wildlands, but I actually own Andromeda. It’s slow, buggy, the animations are weird as sin and the game is just boring. I’m trying to just finish the game and get some achievements before going back to Kingdom Hearts.

        • ForeVision

I’ve heard mixed opinions on both games, but as it’s sadly my funds that are limited instead of my time, I can’t try out every game myself.

I’ll hold my funds with me for particular PC releases or interesting Switch games.

  • Stuart

Not a bad number. I’m waiting anxiously for global software number tho.

    • Tlink7

Probably not going to be too amazing because of the inadequate Switch supply :C

      • Well, we do know it would be capped at 2 mil, right? But it would be interesting to see how the sales actually match shipment/supply.

        • Tlink7

I suppose so! Would be sad I guess if the attach ratio is low (or whatever you call it xD), but I have high hopes it will be good seeing as Zelda is such a masterpiece of a game

          • Stuart

If Gamestop is to be trusted, the attach ratio for the games should be good. But anyway I’m waiting for the official numbers. Unffortunatelly the Nintendo report is only next month with NPD in a few days.

  • Unsurprising numbers given HZD. It was really holding the top spot there. Which makes the BotW hate even funnier. (Like, being that bitter was so unnecessary.)

Those are fascinating numbers, and I wonder if XBO numbers will go down with the Scorpio news, or if the interest in it isn’t even there.
