The latest 3DS firmware update has just gone live. Nintendo issued version 11.7.0-4 just now.
Nintendo hasn’t shared the patch notes as of yet, but there hasn’t been any major changes in a few years. The lone statement will likely be the following “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.
