Sonic Team creative officer still wants to make a new Sonic Adventure
Takashi Iizuka, the creative officer of Sonic Team, has again expressed interest in revisiting the Sonic Adventure titles with a new game.
This isn’t the first time Iizuka has commented on revisiting those prior entries. In 2018 for instance, he mentioned that he’d be up for a remake.
Aside from a remake though, Iizuka also wants to make a brand new Sonic Adventure title. He had this to say in a recent interview with IGN:
“I’ve mentioned this in previous interviews, but I would like to continue the Sonic Adventure series. Sonic Adventure also contains smaller open spaces known as Adventure Fields. I think we’ve used what we learned with those in this game as well. I haven’t thought about my next game yet. But I personally think it’d be nice if we could use what we learn with this game in Sonic Adventure.”
The original Sonic Adventure came to the SEGA Dreamcast in 1998. It was followed by Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001. The GameCube would eventually end up receiving both titles.
