Kirby and the Forgotten Land now the most successful Kirby game ever in the UK
According to the latest sales data from GfK, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is now the most successful Kirby game in the UK. That tidbit of information is based strictly on physical sales. However, digital downloads are more prominent than they’ve ever been, making the game’s success even more significant.
We previously reported that Kirby and the Forgotten Land had the biggest Kirby launch ever in the UK. At the start of April, it became the series’ fourth best-selling entry.
The game has seen similar success in Japan as it had the best debut ever for the franchise there. Total physical sales for Kirby and the Forgotten Land in that region are now at over 800,000 copies.
In its latest financial report, Nintendo said that Kirby and the Forgotten Land had sold 2.65 million copies worldwide. That number should be well over three million at this point. An updated report on sales should be provided next week when the next financial report from Nintendo is published.
