[Let’s Talk] Metroid Prime 4: Beyond impressions

This was a pretty huge week in the Nintendo world as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond finally released following years of anticipation. Now that the game has finally arrived, we want to know how you’re feeling about the game if you’ve started it up.

Many of you likely know about the Metroid Prime 4: Beyond journey. After it was announced in 2017 with a different studio in charge, Nintendo scrapped the entire project and rebooted the game with Retro Studios – the series’ original developer – taking over. That announcement took place at the start of 2019. Years went by, but now fans can finally see how the final product turned out.

Metroid Prime 4 and maybe Alan Wake 2, but I’m trying to work on my backlog before getting more games (it’s hard to resist some good sales)

These are gonna be backlog days but I’m confident I’ll get a Nintendo card for Christmas so I’ll hang onto that for my next obsession Fallout 4.

I honestly cleaned up with all the black Friday sales. I got star wars outlaws, splatoon 3, once upon a katamari, puyo puyo Tetris s2, Sonic x shadow generations, Capcom fighting collection 2, banishers ghosts of New Eden, and an Atari 7800+, saved nearly $200 across all that stuff. Then Metroid and octopath next week so I’m kinda good for the rest of the year

Metroid Prime 4, AKA the only game worth buying day one since… I don’t remember? My last few purchases were older games or compilations that have a physical release. After Prime 4, there’s not much for upcoming releases for me to look forward to in 2026.

i should probably spread it out a bit over the next year, hold off on pokemon. also really interested in hollow knight, refantazio and expedition, but waiting for them to drop down significantly in price because i know they will
