The following info comes from an interview with Eric Nofsinger, who was asked about the poster with a “2” on it we posted about earlier:

“We’re very excited about it, the first one was great, but this is something much better.”

If that’s not confirmation, I don’t know what is!

Just so everyone knows, this is pure speculation as of now, but you have to admit it’s pretty suspicious when I developer won’t even comment on whether a game is still in development or not. The following comes from a Kotaku article…

What’s less assuring is the fate of the Wii game. Dolan declined to comment on the status of that version, even when I pressed him to clarify whether it is or isn’t still in development. He stuck to discussing the version we could play at GDC, saying it was High Voltage’s best bet to expand into developing for next-gen consoles.

I don’t know… Something just feels very off about The Grinder these days!

Once again, we don’t know if this is what will happen with the Wii version of the game as well, but on the prospect that it does, here’s what we can be looking forward to.

“I don’t know personally about any project underway regarding Kid Icarus, but if so many of those people are interested in it and really want to see it on the Wii they should really speak up. If we can find some sort of way to bring it to the Wii, a way to make the game for the Wii that makes sense, we would happily do so, but just keep in mind it may not be me making the game.” – Yoshio Sakamoto

I don’t think I’m the only one here that thinks Icarus fans have been pretty loud ever since the release of Brawl. Seriously, Nintendo has every reason to re-invigorate this franchise; why won’t they!?

Rock Band 3 announced

Posted on 14 years ago by (@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 1 Comment

No press release just yet, but Viacom President Philippe Dauman confirmed during today’s Credit Suisse 2010 Global Media and Communications Convergence Conference that Rock Band 3 would be coming out this fall. As per recent interviews, the next game will apparently teach players music, rather than just having them follow along in rhythm. Expect a press release in the next couple of days!

Well, this is pretty darn cool! Apparently, Rising Star Games, upset that they were not able to bring a Spanish translation of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon to their fans, has teamed up with 50 avid fans of the game to produce a translation of the game. The translation will be available via Homebrew for free as soon as it’s released, and should offer a pretty solid, cost-effective way for Spanish-speakers to play the games!

Hello once again, NE readers! I’ve got part deux of this feature rip-roaring and ready to go, albeit a week late. I don’t have a written attachment this week, but hopefully you won’t have too much trouble viewing the video! Questions or comments? Leave ’em down below!

Miss out on part 1? Check it out here!

Never heard of Zaxxon? I can’t blame you. While this SEGA arcade game may be considered a classic by many, unless you went to arcades frequently you probably haven’t played it. Regardless, the game has been rated by the ESRB for Wii which hints that it will be heading to the Virtual Console service.

A new patent seems to have popped up that hints at a new style of DS cartridge, one that extends beyond the size of the current cartridge. No word on whether this is ever going to see the light of day, and knowing Nintendo it’s very possible that we’ll never hear anything about it again, but it definitely looks interesting!
