Sakurai recommends keeping 3DS in fixed position while playing

When playing the 3DS, you should keep the system in a fixed position. That’s what Kid Icarus: Uprising designer Masahiro Sakurai is suggesting to fans. Sakurai recommends doing so due to the fact that players see the 3D graphics by keeping one’s eyes in one position. When moving the system around by pressing buttons too vigorously, the effect may diminish.
Sakurai also echoed news about the 3DS which we’ve previously heard from Nintendo. On his Twitter account, he stated that 3D makes a person’s eyes tired, the effect will vary depending on who is playing the system, and the 3D depth slider should be used to adjust the 3D effect.

Nintendo DS Becomes All-Time Best-Selling Video Game System; Wii Sells More Than 7 Million for Third Consecutive Year
REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The close of 2010 produced two sales milestones for Nintendo in the United States.
According to Nintendo’s internal sales figures, the Nintendo DS™ family of portable video game systems has sold more than 47 million in the United States since the original model launched in November 2004. That tally makes Nintendo DS the nation’s best-selling video game system of all time.
For the second major milestone of 2010, Nintendo’s internal figures show that the Wii™ home console marked its third consecutive calendar year with U.S. sales of more than 7 million – a feat never before accomplished in the history of video games by a home console. To date, the Wii system has sold more than 34 million in the United States alone.

In other news, Nintendo Everything reader Thomas N has pointed out that the video uploaded by the original “3DS leaker” has been taken down. This appears to be his choice. When you try to play the video, it says that it was removed by the user.
January – What’s in store

You may have noticed that there wasn’t one of these preview features for last month, the reason being that —besides Fluidity and Super Mario All-Stars— absolutely nothing of note came out. January, on the other hand, is full of notable new releases. None of them are really massively hyped up games, but I’ve written a few reasons why they should still be on your radar. Anyway, here are the games that’ll kick off the New Year for Nintendo fans:
