Cambridge, Mass. – March 26, 2010 – Harmonix and MTV Games today announced The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s classic album, Axis: Bold As Love, along with the new Jimi Hendrix single, “Valleys of Neptune” from the new album will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™. Additionally, Jimi Hendrix’s music is now exclusive to Rock Band with more songs coming to its industry-leading platform in the future.
Hendrix’s music continues to resonate with music fans everywhere as proven by the long-awaited album of previously unavailable Jimi Hendrix studio recordings, Valleys of Neptune, which debuted last week on the Billboard 200 best-selling albums chart at #4. Moreover, four additional Hendrix catalog titles – Are You Experienced (#44), Electric Ladyland (#60), First Rays of the New Rising Sun (#63), and Axis: Bold As Love (#67) – have returned to the Billboard 200 four decades after their original release dates, a testimony to the enduring vitality and importance of the trailblazing artist-guitarist-performer.

Nintendo looking into a way to transfer DSiWare games between systems

“We’re looking into that specific topic [transferring DSiWare games from one system to another], but we don’t have anything to announce at this time.” – Nintendo spokesperson
I’ve never understood why there isn’t an easy way to transfer DSiWare games from one handheld to another. And it is something that I’m a bit concerned about for the 3DS. Well, Nintendo is looking into it supposedly, so hopefully they’ll find a simple solution.

Atlus to replace defective bonus soundtrack in launch copies of SMT: Strange Journey

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – MARCH 25, 2010 – Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it will replace defective bonus soundtrack CDs bundled with launch copies of Shin Megami Tensei®: Strange Journey™ for Nintendo DS™.
“Due to a manufacturing error, the bonus soundtrack CD bundled with Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey does not play properly,” stated Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atlus. “We are moving quickly with our manufacturing partner to replace defective soundtrack discs, launching a fulfillment site into which customers can input their information and receive a new soundtrack CD in 2-4 weeks. We apologize for this issue, we appreciate our fans’ understanding and patience, and we thank them for their current (and hopefully continued) support.”
