First day sales of Wii Sports Resort in Japan – Off to a solid start
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 3 Comments
Wii Sports Resort sales data, much like the original game, will most likely be tracked for a long time to come. But how did the title perform on opening day in Japan? According to Japanese website Ameblo, the game sold 150,000 copies. Roughly 40% of the initial shipment was sold, though the title still has a strong chance of selling more than 300,000 units by the end of the week. While Wii Sports Resort was not able to sell more than Wii Fit in its opening day, it did perform better than Wii Music and the first Wii Sports title (based on data over a two day period). We’ll be posting more first day sales data shortly.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle is quite a few months away before releasing, but that doesn’t mean that Suda 51 can’t slip out a new character reveal. The latest Nintendo Power has the goods on new details regarding the game, which includes the news that someone will be returning from the first game…A character that, for those who have played No More Heroes, are probably very familiar with.
Head past the break to see for yourself (possible spoiler alert)!
The Grinder devs want to create a compelling story, will use attachments to enhance weapons
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 4 Comments
“…So, a goal of ours with The Grinder is to have a fun 4 player cooperative game, where players work together to defeat the monsters, but at the same time, we want there to be something unique and compelling enough about our story, and to have that story work its way into the gameplay. So that if you are using some of the specialty weapons, those actually loan themselves well to using Wii motion controls…Just like we did in The Conduit, where we had weapons that were very specific to the Wii motions, we’ll do the same with The Grinder. But then of course we’ll take it up a notch and use great attachments like Wii motion plus and enhance them even more.” – The Grinder Art Director, Matt Corso
Boy, I’m pumped up about The Grinder…And it’s very far away from releasing.
