Mini-poster for your thoughts?
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – APRIL 2, 2009 – Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today announced that Steal Princess™, the genre-bending puzzle-platformer for Nintendo DS™, has been delayed until May 19th. Unrelated to the delay but serving as a special treat to fans that either pre-order or pick up the game at launch, each and every copy of Steal Princess will include a special mini-poster with beautiful art inspired by the game.
“Releasing a few weeks later gives us more time to familiarize gamers with this creative, original title,” stated Tim Pivnicny, VP of Sales and Marketing at Atlus. “Because Steal Princess will be available through fewer sales channels and in smaller quantities than other Atlus releases, finding the optimal launch conditions is critical to ensuring that this daring new release avoids getting lost in an already busy April.”

Bunch of news from Reggie: GTA on Wii, Fatal Frame 4 in North America, much more
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii | 7 Comments
“I’ve said this — and it may have been in one of your interviews –from the get-go. I as a gamer — and Nintendo as a company — would love to see a new ‘Grand Theft Auto’ on our home console. We think the volume opportunity is there…Our job is to create the installed base for that type of opportunity to be leveraged. It’s Take-Two and Rockstar’s opportunity to make the game…We support publishers with marketing investment. We don’t buy exclusivity.” – Reggie Fils-Aime
“It [Disaster: Day of Crisis] is not on our announcement plan.” – Reggie Fils-Aime
“We are not the publisher of that title [Fatal Frame 4] in the Americas. So I can’t comment on it… I don’t know if it has a publisher.” – Reggie Fils-Aime
“I think that’s a great question to ask me in early June at E3 [if this year’s fall lineup will be better than last year’s]…You know, one of the things that we know is that our loyal fans have huge expectations for us. When we give them the smallest little inkling, it gets exploded into expectations that are almost impossible to meet.” – Reggie Fils-Aime
“It [downloading games onto SD card] doesn’t change our core philosophy. And our philosophy around demos has always been: how much demo do you provide to have the consumer excited but not so much that all they do is play the demo? That’s been an ongoing Nintendo philosophy.” – Reggie Fils-Aime
Quite a bit of news here…But unfortunately, a lot of it is disappointing. No Disaster: Day of Crisis, no word on Fatal Frame 4, and it doesn’t look like the Wii will be receiving demos in the near future. But hey – At least Reggie wants GTA on Wii.
WayForward teases Shantae on DSiWare, more original games coming

“I can’t think of a better place for Shantae than DSiWare. It’s really a match made in heaven. We track fan interest using the Shantae Fan Club, so visiting the WayForward site and signing up is always a good way to throw a vote in her direction. We’ve got other original games on the table too, so expect to see more from us down the line.” – WayForward Technologies Matt Bozon
It doesn’t matter to me how we get a new Shantae game…Whether it’s for the Wii or the DS, I don’t mind at all…As long as we actually can play a new Shantae game!
