I figured I might as well transcribe the block download sizes this week since World of Goo seemed as though it’d be a pretty big file. As you can see, it definitely is big size, so I’m sure a lot of you guys are going to have to clean out your fridges today. Who knows, perhaps I’ll continue to write the download sizes every week.

WiiWare

World of Goo – 321 blocks
Art Style: CUBELLO – 47 blocks

VC

Secret of Mana – 33 blocks
Street Fighter II’: Special Chapionship Edition – 32 blocks

Wii-kly Update

Two WiiWare Games and Two Virtual Console Games Added to Wii Shop Channel

Armchair physicists rejoice! The hotly anticipated award-winning World of Goo makes its WiiWare debut this week, inviting players to build infinitely fascinating structures out of Goo and uncover the mystery behind the World of Goo Corporation. Other cool additions to the Wii Shop Channel this week include Art Style: CUBELLO, the second installment in Nintendos Art Style series, and a pair of classics for the Virtual Console: SECRET OF MANA and STREET FIGHTER II: SPECIAL CHAMPION EDITION. Fun offerings like these are sure to heat up your October, no matter how low the autumn temperatures may go.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This weeks new games are:

“I am personally very excited for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, even to the point where I begged R+D to let us play it at EVO last year, if only for a few days. It’s not up to either of us but I will make sure Capcom knows this game would have a warm reception in the West should we be able to defeat that evil-est of Robot Masters: Legal Licensing Issue Man.” – Seth Killian, Capcom Sr. Manager, Community

I’d really like to see Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in North America in its current state, but that probably won’t happen. I can still see trouble for the game even if it was changed so that licensing issues would be avoided. Come on Capcom, work your magic!
